Avoid Eating Before Bedtime
- Your last meal of the day should be about 2 hours before you retire to bed.
- If you go to bed with undigested food in your system, your body will process it while you sleep. Because you don't need much energy while you sleep, you will tend to store the digested and absorbed food as fat.
- Having your last meal a few hours before bed gives your body a chance to burn some of the energy in your meal. Better still, a bit of activity after dinner such as a walk will help burn more calories and speed up weight loss.
